FC Development Corp. and The Farmer’s Cow Calfé Celebrate Successful Partnership with Michaels, Highlighting Surging Catering Demand
Norwich, CT – September 30, 2025 – FC Development Corp. (FCDC), the innovative brand management partner for The Farmer’s Cow, proudly celebrates a successful partnership with Michaels, the nation’s leading arts and crafts retailer, as the catering partner for a series of community-driven events held on Sunday, September 28, 2025. This collaboration underscores the budding demand for The Farmer’s Cow Calfé’s catering program, a result of over a year of intensive menu development and strategic community outreach efforts launched in May 2025, and aligns seamlessly with Michaels’ commitment to fostering local partnerships and vibrant community engagement.
The events, hosted at Michaels locations near The Farmer’s Cow Calfé in Willimantic (86 Storrs Rd., Willimantic) and Berlin (1241 Farmington Ave., Berlin), welcomed crafters, families, and community members for hands-on creative activities paired with farm-fresh, scratch-made catering. The Farmer’s Cow Calfé served signature offerings, including house made potato wedges in a Farmhouse spice blend, a variety of delicious wraps with freshly baked antibiotic-free chicken, and fresh baked scratch cookies. Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees raving about the exceptional quality and flavors of the Calfé’s offerings, further cementing its reputation for memorable catering experiences.
This partnership follows a string of successful catering engagements, including a tailored ice cream social for over 100 guests, and multiple school and community group events, showcasing the Calfé’s growing role as a go-to catering partner in Connecticut.
“Partnering with Michaels for these community events was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our revitalized catering menu and connect with local families with a first-class level of execution by our amazing team,” said Daniel Hayes, Executive Chef at The Farmer’s Cow Calfé. “The enthusiasm for our scratch-made, farm-fresh offerings was incredible, and we’re excited to continue building on this momentum as we bring people closer to Connecticut’s farming roots.”
The Farmer’s Cow Calfé’s catering program is gaining significant traction for its authentic, locally sourced, scratch-made offerings – revitalized with a menu update in June 2025. The surge in demand reflects over a year of meticulous menu development, and a strategic community engagement plan orchestrated since early May 2025 to connect with local organizations and share the story of this beloved farmer-owned brand. Rooted in a circular economy model that spans retail, dining, and energy initiatives, the program supports FCDC’s and The Farmer’s Cow brand’s broader vision to preserve Connecticut farmland and scale its cooperative model by connecting the community to the land, by supporting local farmers.
